"Doing business without insult."
Welcome to Imani Productions, LLC. We are thrilled to introduce you to the products of our company. This year we launched Renee’s Return-Jewelry Style – a unique and authentic brand of jewelry designed by Renee Coates-Smith. We also offer authentic uncut aroma oils and imported scarves. Our goal is to provide our customers the best quality products with great customer service.

In addition to our products, I will share our international experiences in business, culture and history. The China Journal will present my experiences in China during the past five years. As CEO of Imani Productions, LLC I have had the opportunity to visit the country as an entrepreneur and a Visiting Scholar. I have lectured at Capital Normal University, Beijing Union University, Shandong University of Technology and recently presented a paper at Guangxi Normal University in Guilin, China. My travels in China have led me to Qufu, Qingdao, Jinan, Beijing, Linzi, and Shanghai.

The power points will provide you an intimate portrait of some of China’s culture, life and tourist sites. Moreover, I will share some memorable moments of my experience in the “Red Dragon.” You may ask, why did I visit China or you may wonder how does one get the opportunity to visit China? Well in this journal I will share some information that will enlighten you about China and its people. Our short term goal is to provide our customers and interested parties the opportunity to travel to China. We anticipate sponsoring our first trip in the summer of 2012.

First, when you think of China what images come to mind? One of the most popular myths is that all Chinese are similar. That is far from the truth. In reality China is composed of fifty-six different ethnic groups. The Han Chinese represents almost 92% of the Chinese population making it the largest ethnic group in the world. Some of the other ethnic groups in China are the Achang, Dai, Dong, Hezhen, Li, Mongol and Zhuang. In total there are fifty-five minority ethnic groups in China. To date there are more than 1.2 billion Chinese making it the most populated country in the world. Second, what is it like to visit a country that recently opened its doors to the western world? It is an awesome country with a treasured past unmatched by any other country in the world. In my venture through China I have discovered the Chinese people to be gracious and extremely great hosts. Finally, in future segments I will share my knowledge of Mandarin Chinese language with you. The most common phrase is Ni Hao (nee how) which means hello or good day.

Again, welcome to Imani Productions, LLC and remember our motto: “Business Without Insult.”
